Confirmation:
(Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year consecutive program)

Confirmation Year I:

Students must be at least in 8th grade. All students must sign for Mass attendance in the binder located inside the church. If you attend Mass at another parish please bring in a signed bulletin by the priest or deacon of that parish. Please note it is important that the student writes his/her name on the bulletin before submitting it to the catechist.

Classes meet on Saturday’s
-Session 1 from 9:00am – 10:30a.m. Bilingual
-Session 2 from 11:00a.m. -12:30p.m. Spanish
-Session 3 from 1:30p.m. – 3:00p.m. Spanish

Confirmation Mass Celebration:
Confirmation Mass will be celebrated on
Pentecost Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3:30p.m.

Confirmation Year II:

Candidates who are continuing on to the second year Confirmation must be at least in 9th grade. Classes are on Friday from 5:30p.m.-7:00p.m. students must choose a sponsor, as well as a Saint’s name. All Confirmation requirements and deadlines must be submitted to the Office of Religious Education please see calendar for date.

All Confirmation students are required to:
-Attend Religious Education classes regularly and turn in all homework.
-Attend Mass regularly and sign in the Mass book.
-Choose a Confirmation Name (Name of a saint whom they want to use as a model for their lives).
-Complete 10 hours of community service. These hours can be completed by helping or attending any of the various parish activities like helping at the International Fest, volunteer in the office of religious education, etc.
-Pass 2 written tests given in class.
-Participate in an interview with the Pastor
-Attend a Spirit Day or similar mandatory Confirmation Retreat.
-Write a letter to the bishop stating their reasons to receive Confirmation.
